Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Manager is responsible for making sure the daily operations run smoothly as well as ensuring that customers have a pleasant experience at The Mustard Seed Barbeque. The Manager will float as a Waitress/Hostess by greeting customers who have been seated and take their orders. The Manager will also serve orders and make sure the orders have been filled properly prior to bringing to guests while managing the kitchen. The manager will make shift schedules. orders and serves food and beverages to patrons at tables.

• Showing up for scheduled shift on time
• Takes orders from patrons for food and/or beverages
• Write patrons’ food orders on order slips, memorize orders or memorize orders, and communicate orders to the kitchen staff
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Check with patrons to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
• Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items
• Roll silverware, set up dining area to prepare for the next shift or for large parties
• Inform patrons of any specials
• Responsible for explaining how various menu items are prepared, ingredients, etc.
• Greet patrons when entering establishment
• Process payments for patrons

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with customers
• Reliable Transportation
• Must be able to make schedules
• Must be versatile and flexible
• Ability to be consistently punctual
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience
• Ability to work as a team with other colleagues

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly to customers
